With a lot of help from Hutton Rudby Primary School PTA , we have been working to increase the amount of things the children have to do at play and lunch time. We are pleased to share some of the early results of that work: A creative zone giving the children chance to make both permanent art in the form of paintings and temporary art with chalk and on our perspex easels. A dramatic zone - the creation of a permanent outdoor stage beside our 'naturally occuring amphitheatre'. Some Y6s have already taken it upon themselves to run their own HRPS's Got Talent show at lunch! Both have gone down very well so far! 🎭🎨

Having led the way all game, we succumbed to a late equaliser and then defeat in overtime in the quarter finals. Despite the heartbreak, we went on to finish 6th in the competition (and thus the nation!) We couldn't be more proud of this team. They played for each other and picked one another up when they were down. The determination they showed to bounce back from the quarter finals defeat to win the following playoff game was inspirational. Huge shout-out to coaches Beckwith and Abrahams! Side note: the team we beat 21-7 in the first game went on to win the whole thing.
