One of our fantastic Year 4 children represented the Durham and Cleveland County Squash Under 11s team in a county tournament this weekend in Manchester! Not only was she the only girl on the team, but she was also at least 1 year younger than the other players (and about a foot shorter!) She was the youngest player on the team. The U11s played against Yorkshire 1 & 2, Cheshire, Cumbria/ Merseyside/ Lancashire making it to the finals. They were beaten by Northumbria in the final so placed 2nd overall. This is was an amazing sporting achievement for her and the county team.

You may have noticed a change to the treats on offer from the PTA at the end of school before half-term. That is because two of our pupils were raising money for Cancer Research UK prior to taking part in the Race For Life 5k run, which took place this weekend. They raised a fantastic £80 from the cake sale for a brilliant cause. Well done Hugo and Elex, we are very proud of you both!
